I recently stayed at a charming ryokan located just next to Echigo Yuzawa station and had a fantastic experience. the staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and polite, going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. They were attentive and helpful, providing recommendations for dinner restaurants and even calling a cab for us. Additionally, the rooms were spacious, clean, and offered a fabulous view of the snow-covered mountains - a picturesque sight that truly enhanced the overall experience. Lastly, the breakfast served at the hotel catered to western tastes, offering a variety of options to satisfy different preferences. this hotel exceeded my expectations, providing excellent service, comfortable rooms, and a delicious breakfast.
All aspects of our stay were great - nothing to improve!

The location of this hotel was great, with easy access to ski slopes and a shuttle service to the station. The onsen was a nice touch and perfect for relaxation after a long day of skiing. The staff were friendly and accommodating.
The bed was a bit uncomfortable and required layering of futons for a better sleep. the shuttle service did not operate late into the evening, making it difficult to explore the surrounding area at night.

It was great that the hotel provided parking as well as a shuttle bus service for easy transportation to this city's attractions. The location next to the station was convenient, and breakfast was a delightful way to start each day. The staff were friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable.

Our recent stay at a traditional Japanese inn was truly an unforgettable experience. Upon arrival, the friendly staff escorted us to our spacious and comfortable tatami-style room with a fabulous mountain view. The hotel's convenient location just next to the station made getting there a breeze. In the restaurant, we indulged in delicious local specialties and enjoyed a decent buffet breakfast. On the hill, the views were breathtaking and the onsen was a real treat. We appreciated the interesting museum showcasing a room where a famous author stayed to write a novel.
The hotel's public areas felt slightly worn and in need of updating.

The shuttle service offered by the hotel was super convenient for getting around the area. The play area for kids was fun and made for a relaxing stay for everyone. The buffet breakfast had a great variety of choices to cater for all.
The lack of food vending machines for those who want to eat out of meal times was disappointing. The closing time of the hotel meant that there were limited options for food after onsen.
